<p>Hamburg is a wonderful city buzzing with life &#8211; even on a cold, frosty morning. Living in Europe gives you perspective on how the past interacts with the future. I work across the street from the beautiful structure. The company I work for is a high-tech, enterprise software provider. Although I live thousands of kilometers away from Silicon Valley, I am finding that Hamburg, Germany is also a center for technological know-how and innovation. I am looking forward to blogging more about current trends on a variety of topics that relate to U.S. and Europe.</p>

<div><strong><span style="color: #ff0000;"><br />
</span></strong></div>
</div>
<div>I love getting ready for an announcement, especially when we&#8217;ll be launching an update to our iPhone application with some new features I think people are really going to enjoy. As you may know, I work for <a title="i.TV Homepage" href="http://i.tv">i.TV</a> and we are expecting for Apple to notify us any day now that i.TV 2.1 is &#8216;ready for sale&#8217;. According to Apple&#8217;s new iPhone app approval &#8216;warning system&#8217;, it looks like our app is no longer &#8216;waiting for review&#8217; but is now &#8216;in review.&#8217;</div>
<div>An app update is also a chance for our app to get a fresh start in ratings and reviews on iTunes (I really wish Apple would let us respond to user feedback posted to the iTunes Store). If we&#8217;d had that ability all along, we would have been able to react more quickly when a crash bug was discovered that has affected quite a few of our users. We sent out an edition of <em><a title="i.TV News" href="http://bit.ly/i3efB">i.TV News</a></em> last week that explains what happened but it hasn&#8217;t stopped people (justifiably) voicing their opinion.</div>
<div></div>
<div></div>
<div>I think the new app is going to be a good one though. Stable, fast and like I said&#8211;the new features are pretty dang rad and will end up introducing i.TV to a lot more people. I also think these new features will increase time spent in the application. Since I&#8217;ve been using the new application for a couple of weeks now, I find myself wanting to use it more than ever now (and I&#8217;ve always loved the app!).</div>
<div>So, I&#8217;m ready for this show to get on the road.</div>
